Keep all chat respectful and appropriate for all ages. The following are prohibited: • Harassment, bullying, insults, flaming, or hate speech of any kind • Racism, sexism, or any form of discrimination • Excessive profanity or inappropriate language • Spamming, flooding chat, gibberish, or excessive use of CAPS • Advertising other servers, websites, or social media — this results in a permanent ban with no appeal • Impersonating staff members or other players • Discussion of illegal or highly inappropriate topics • Provoking or pressuring others into breaking rules Up to 2 warnings may be issued before further punishment. If you disagree with a staff decision, contact an Administrator calmly — they have final authority.

All players must compete fairly. The following are strictly prohibited: • Use of hacked clients, X-ray, or any unfair modifications • Item duplication (duping) of any kind • Bug abusing or exploiting unintended server mechanics • Using autoclickers or unfair automation tools • Evading mutes or bans using alternate accounts • Using third-party programs to bypass voting limits • DDoS threats or sharing another player's IP address Punishments may be applied immediately without warning depending on severity. If you discover a bug or duplication method, report it to staff via the Discord #support channel — helpful reports may be rewarded.

Destroying or vandalizing another player's builds is strictly prohibited and may result in a ban and rollback. • Griefing claimed or unclaimed builds is not allowed • Wilderness builds are protected; treat them with the same respect as claimed land Punishments scale with the severity of the damage caused.

Scamming other players is prohibited on CivSMP. • First offense: temporary ban • Repeat offenses: permanent ban • Providing a refund may reduce your punishment at staff discretion Loaned items, informal trades, and handshake deals are done at your own risk — staff will not always be able to recover them. Use the secure /trade system for all valuable exchanges.

Attempting to avoid your punishment will make things worse, not better. • Evading a mute or ban using an alternate account results in a longer punishment on both accounts • Evading punishment significantly reduces the chances of a successful appeal • Staff have final say in all situations • Rule enforcement takes into account severity, intent, and history If you believe a punishment was unfair, submit an appeal through the website rather than evading it.

Guilds are player-run groups and must operate within server rules. • Recruiting players is allowed — threatening, harassing, or spamming recruitment is not • Guilds may set and enforce their own internal rules for their members • Guild Evictions: Evicted players must be notified and given 48 hours to collect their items before removal • Staff may assist or mediate guild disputes if needed • Failure to follow proper eviction procedure may void reimbursement claims Violations of recruitment or eviction rules may result in mutes or bans at staff discretion.

Respect the space of other players when claiming and building. • Claims must be placed at least 5 chunks away from another guild's or player's populated claim, unless both parties agree otherwise • Unauthorized claims that are too close to existing builds may result in a rollback or ban • Any agreed exceptions must be approved by all affected claim owners Wilderness Builds: • Builds in unclaimed wilderness are protected from griefing and theft • Claiming land that contains another player's wilderness build requires their permission or staff approval • Use common sense and courtesy when building near unclaimed areas

All members must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times. This includes age requirements, acceptable use policies, and content standards. Violations may result in removal from the Discord server.

Do not send repeated messages, excessive emojis, or unsolicited links. Keep conversations meaningful and on-topic. Spamming in any channel may result in a mute.

Do not share personal information about yourself or other members — including real names, locations, or contact details. Doxxing or sharing private information without consent is a serious violation and will result in a permanent ban.

Sharing, posting, or linking to NSFW, explicit, or otherwise inappropriate content is strictly forbidden in all channels. This applies to images, text, usernames, and profile pictures.

Keep all discussions relevant to the channel they're posted in. Read channel descriptions before posting and use the appropriate channel for your topic. Consistently misusing channels may result in a warning or mute.
