Welcome to CivSMP!

Whether you're a seasoned Minecraft veteran or completely new to multiplayer servers, this guide will get you up and running in no time. CivSMP is a survival server set in the world of Aldoria — a rich, living world filled with NPCs, guilds, dungeons, and a fully-featured economy.

How to Join

1. Open Minecraft and click Multiplayer
2. Click Add Server
3. Enter play.civsmp.net as the server address
4. Hit Done and double-click the server to join

Once you're in, you'll spawn in the world of Aldoria — the heart of the server where every journey begins.

Your First 6 Steps

Step 1 — Teleport to the Overworld

Your survival journey begins in the Overworld. From spawn, jump into the magic pond to be teleported there. This is where you'll build your base, gather resources, and carve out your place in the world.

Step 2 — Gather Resources

Once you're out in the Overworld, start collecting the basics — wood, food, and ores. Everything counts when you're just starting out. Don't stray too far from spawn until you have a decent kit.

Step 3 — Claim Your First Land

Found a good spot? Protect it! Use /claim to claim the chunk you're standing in. Claimed land is fully protected from other players. Type /claim setname to give it a name. You can expand your claim later with /claim addchunk.

Tip: Press F3 + G in Java Edition to see chunk borders so you know exactly what you're claiming.

Step 4 — Set Your Home

Once you've found your base, save your location with /sethome. You can teleport back at any time with /home. You can have multiple homes — name them with /sethome <name> and view them all with /homes.

Step 5 — Choose Your Playstyle

What kind of player are you? Use /playstyles to choose a playstyle that matches how you want to play. Each playstyle grants unique stat boosts and 3 exclusive traits. You can switch playstyle after 7 days if you change your mind.

Step 6 — Claim Free Rewards

As a new player, make sure you grab your free rewards:

• /kits — Claim your starter kit with basic survival items
• /rewards — Claim hourly, daily, and weekly free rewards
